22ND EDITION 1ST SATURDAY MAGNOLIA CHESSFEST SET NOVEMBER 7



THE much awaited event will start again to accept the participants in the 22nd edition of the 1ST SATURDAY MAGNOLIA NON-MASTER CHESS TOURNAMENT (1950 Below NCFP Rapid Rating) on November 7, 2009 10:00am at 4th Floor Perez Building, Doña Soledad cor. Australia Sts, Better Living, Parañaque City . Sponsored by Mayor Florencio Bernabe, Vice Mayor Gus Tambunting, Councilor Jason Webb, Barangay Don Bosco Chairman Jun Virata and Magnolia Health Tea Drinks. It will also coincide the launching of Sulong Sports News (50% issues in chess and the remaining reports in other sports).


Guaranteed prizes will be distributed to the Champion P 3,000, 2nd place 2,000, 3rd place 1,000 with elegant trophies. Top category winners of Senior, Kiddie, Lady will get P 500 each and a gift pack of Magnolia products. Tournament format shall apply the Seven(7) Round Swiss System and the rate of play will be Twenty Five(25) minutes per player to finish the game. Tournament is organized by Barangay Don Bosco Chess Club (BDBCC) headed by Adviser Dr. Bong Perez.

The tournament will be supervised by Chief Arbiter Rolly Liñan of the National Association of Philippine Chess Arbiters (NAPCA). Registration Standard fee is Php 250 and Kiddies is only Php 150.00.
