FILWAY-TIME LIFE THROWN ITS SUPPORT IN THREE DIVISION CHESS

IT’S all system’s go for the three (3) division rapid chess tournament on September 13, Sunday at the Ramon Magsaysay Cubao High School (RMCHS) along Edsa, Cubao opposite Nepa Q. Mart.
The one-day six-round
Swiss system event will be played in three categories for non-master (open to all non-master and untitled players along with Women titled players), women (open to all untitled women players) and kiddies (14 yrs. old and below).
Up for grabs are around P16,000 in total cash prizes plus trophies and medals.

G4 chess club and Dr. Alfred Paez,” said tournament organizer RP and US chess master Almario Marlon Bernardino Jr., who designated IA/NM Erwin Carag, NM Rudy Ibanez, Gatz Luz and Raul Cruz, among others, to help run the show.

objective in this three division rapid chess tournament is to discover future world class player in the grass-root level,” said radio
commentator Bernardino, also the organizer of the highly successful 1st Palmdale Import and
Export Co. (3 divisions) Rapid Chess Tournament last June 28 and proved to be a huge success, a total of 175 participants 100 non-master, 29 women and 46 kiddies 14 years old and below joined the chess event.
Filway Marketings Inc. CEO/ President Hector “Chito” Tagaysay, Dickies Vice president Dody Arcaya and g4 chess club boss Joel Pineda also pledged to give additional prizes in kind to the winners.

The champion in the non-master will get the lion share of P4,000 plus a pair of shoes with trophy, the runner-up gets P2,000 with trophy and the third placer will bring home P1,000 plus trophy. Fourth to 5th placer will likewise to received P500 each plus a medal.
In kind (Timelife Books or Dickies products) prizes for the sixth to 10th placers plus the categories winners, Top Senior (50 years old and above); Top Juniors (20 years old and below);Top Executive; Top Unrated; Top journalist; Top Artist; Top Ramon Magsaysay Student and
youngest participant.
The champion in the kiddies and women’s divisions will received P2,000 each, the runner-up gets P1,000 each, the third placer will pocketed P500 each, fourth to 5th placers gets P250 each. Sixth to 10th placers will received in kind prizes (Timelife Books or Dickies products).
